Jade Alice Galston (Dn 94-02) has recently launched a socially conscious online clothing business which supports a number of UK charities and aids clothes recycling. Jade started the business in a pop-up shop in London but decided to take it online in order to connect with a wider audience.
After leaving Rossall, Jade studied for a degree in Fashion Marketing at the London College of Fashion. She then worked for a number of advertising agencies before joining the Marketing Department at The Dorchester hotel. Her career soon progressed within the company and she has travelled all over the world, working on some amazing projects. This inspired Jade to take some time out and travel the world. On her return to London, Jade decided that it was time to set up her own business and the concept of Fertha.com was born.
Fertha.com sells clothes but in a slightly different way to most; they curate clothes and accessories for women and men, ranging from high street to designer brands. All of the pieces are hand -picked from charity partners’ stock, creating a sustainable and convenient shopping experience for customers and extra revenues for the charities. Fertha.com tries to support as many different charities as possible and at the moment, its key charity partners are Sense, the Shaw Trust and CLIC Sargent.
