Senior School Vacancies

Rossall is a wonderfully enriching Senior School environment. Each phase is carefully structured to nurture independence, social interaction and a healthy and active approach to learning. 

A Sixth Form education at Rossall is designed to stimulate and challenge in equal measure – we want our sixth formers to be intellectually curious, to be able to articulate and defend their opinions. At sixth form level, Rossall offers the traditional A Level route and the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

Non-Teaching Vacancies

Non-teaching staff make-up 58% of the staff at Rossall School and play a vital role in the School’s success. 

Non-teaching staff provide essential services for the whole school ranging from day to day office support to financial and business management. 

Onsite support staff include caretakers, people responsible for recruitment and marketing, cleaners, caterers, ground staff and many more.

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Rossall is a leading co-educational boarding and day school set on a 160-acre campus on Lancashire’s spectacular Fylde Coast. Educating some 850 pupils from nursey age to 18 years, the School’s pupil roll has increased by around 40% in the last five years and this is reflective of the School’s outstanding reputation both regionally and nationally. 

The Headmaster and Governors are seeking to appoint an ambitious, highly motivated and versatile individual to the post of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with a proven track record of senior leadership and strategic financial capability in a complex environment. The CFO is a member of the Senior Leadership Executive and reports to the Headmaster. They will contribute to the strategic development of Rossall in partnership with both colleagues and Governors.  

The CFO will manage the School’s finances and be responsible for the effective and efficient use of all its resources. The School has ambitious plans for the future, and excellent financial leadership will be vital to achieving this. In addition, the CFO will have oversight of HR, Legal and Compliance and Data Management and Protection. They will possess impressive financial acumen, enjoy working collaboratively, and appreciate the operational challenges to be found within the independent school sector. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with the ability to empower and enthuse others and will evidence strong influencing and relationship management skills.

Prior experience in the education sector is not a prerequisite and applications are encouraged from candidates with commercial, charitable, private-sector and public-sector backgrounds. The successful candidate will, however, demonstrate empathy with independent education and commitment to Rossall’s ethos and values.  

A highly attractive remuneration package, including subsidised accommodation and fee remission, will be available for the successful candidate. The salary is anticipated to be in the region of £100,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

Summer School Vacancies

Rossall Summer School is an intensive language programme combined with general activities, specialised skills, and cultural experiences. 

The Summer School is designed to appeal to boys and girls from all over the world, running throughout the 8 weeks of the Rossall School summer holidays.

The Junior Programme accommodates children aged 8-11 and the Senior Programme is for children aged 12-17. We encourage a minimum two-week stay for all pupils.
