Senior School Vacancies
Rossall is a wonderfully enriching Senior School environment. Each phase is carefully structured to nurture independence, social interaction and a healthy and active approach to learning.
A Sixth Form education at Rossall is designed to stimulate and challenge in equal measure – we want our sixth formers to be intellectually curious, to be able to articulate and defend their opinions. We are recruiting for a qualified, experienced and inspiring Head of Learning Development to join our forward-thinking Learning Development department from January or April 2026.
The Head of Learning Development has oversight of the Prep SENCO and a team of teachers and teaching assistants who work across the Prep and Senior schools.
The Learning Development department is located at the heart of the school, housed in a bespoke, roomy and well-resourced area. Members of the department work collaboratively to develop resources, share good practice and ensure excellent student progress through impactful lessons, creating and maintaining a nurturing and supportive environment, as well as ensuring careful tracking and monitoring of every child.
At the heart of our excellent provision is the quality of relationships between the Learning Development department and staff across the school, including academic teaching staff, the pastoral team, the health centre, parents, and most importantly, the pupils themselves. We seek a Head of Learning Development who is a qualified SENCO and has a good level of experience in supporting pupils with a wide range of learning needs up to and through the challenges of public examinations at 16 and 18.

We are seeking an inspiring Teacher of Classics to join our flourishing department from January 2026.
Whilst this position is advertised as full time, part time applicants will be considered.
Classics is taught throughout the Senior School and over recent years the department has been highly successful in inspiring students to apply for and gain places at top universities, and regularly Cambridge, to study Classics at degree level. The department offers Latin up to A-level and within the IB. Ancient Greek is taught off timetable and there is a significant interest in this subject amongst our Year 8 - 12 pupils.
This would be a fantastic opportunity for an ECT or Trainee teacher to join a highly supportive, hugely successful and strong department.
The successful applicant will be, or have the potential to become, an outstanding teacher with a strong commitment to ensuring that all pupils achieve excellent examination results (from a value-added perspective) and develop their passion and interest in this incredibly diverse and culturally vital subject.
The department is well-resourced with Interactive TVs in all classrooms. The use of ICT in teaching is enabled and encouraged and all pupils have access to a learning device in the lesson.

We are now recruiting for an experienced part-time Science Technician to join our friendly and supportive Science Department from September 2025.
The Science Faculty consists of 13 teaching members of staff and a number of technicians. The individual sciences are taught from Year 9 and the faculty offers GCSEs in the three separate sciences and the dual award. Biology, Chemistry and Physics are popular options at both A Level and within the IBDP.
Classrooms are well equipped with interactive televisions in every classroom. The department is well resourced and members of the faculty work collaboratively to develop resources, share good practice and ensure excellent student progress through careful tracking and monitoring.

Non-teaching staff provide essential services for the whole school ranging from day to day office support to financial and business management.

Summer School Vacancies
Rossall Summer School is an intensive language programme combined with general activities, specialised skills, and cultural experiences.
The Summer School is designed to appeal to children aged 11-17 from all over the world, running throughout the 8 weeks of the Rossall School summer holidays. We encourage a minimum two-week stay for all pupils.
