Immersion Course

The Rossall immersion programme is designed to offer a fun, engaging and comprehensive taster experience of life in a traditional British boarding school.

The programme is open to international students and will be delivered over the final five weeks of the school year.

These groups will enjoy exposure to multiple subjects across the curriculum, including:

  • English
  • Maths
  • Science
  • Art
  • Business Studies
  • Geography
  • History
  • Games (integrated with local and native students)

WIDER INTEGRATION

The immersion programme delivers the best of both worlds by offering the tailored learning experience above whilst delivering full integration with all other functions of the schools. This means that students will share the same boarding houses as British students and will also share combined activity, social and recreational times, providing a wonderful opportunity to develop and enhance their English outside of the classroom.

Students will be required to wear full school uniform and house tie during the school day and participate in boarding house activities in the evening.

The wider integration element equates to 40 hours per week, plus weekends.

Weekends will consist of further activities, recreation and cultural excursions. The school activity programme is comprehensive and provides the ideal opportunity for students to make new friends and increase their English vocabulary.

In previous years, cultural trips have included trips to the likes of Manchester, the Lake District and the Harry Potter Studios.

Students will also be appointed a buddy who is already a full boarder with us.
