The immersion programme delivers the best of both worlds by offering the tailored learning experience above whilst delivering full integration with all other functions of the schools. This means that students will share the same boarding houses as British students and will also share combined activity, social and recreational times, providing a wonderful opportunity to develop and enhance their English outside of the classroom.
Students will be required to wear full school uniform and house tie during the school day and participate in boarding house activities in the evening.
The wider integration element equates to 40 hours per week, plus weekends.
Weekends will consist of further activities, recreation and cultural excursions. The school activity programme is comprehensive and provides the ideal opportunity for students to make new friends and increase their English vocabulary.
In previous years, cultural trips have included trips to the likes of Manchester, the Lake District and the Harry Potter Studios.
Students will also be appointed a buddy who is already a full boarder with us.
Rossall School is located on a 160-acre site, ideally situated on the impressive coastline of North West England. Beautiful evening sunsets are admired from our beach by pupils from all over the world.
The spacious campus has extensive sports and recreation facilities which include a state of-the-art sports centre, heated swimming pool, squash courts, tennis courts, fives courts, a modern all-weather sports pitch, a multi-use games area, two indoor sports halls, extensive sports pitches, a Golf Academy, and a fitness suite.
Whilst at Rossall Summer School students will live in comfortable single or double rooms in one of our supervised boarding houses.
Each house has a comfortable living space where students can relax and socialise. The day room contains a TV, DVD player and games facilities. The house also boasts a kitchenette for making snacks and drinks, and computers with internet access.
Students will eat breakfast, lunch and dinner in our Harry Potter-esque Dining Hall each day.
If the great British weather permits, students will also enjoy regular BBQs and themed evenings, where students can sample various cuisines from around the globe.
