Year 5 are currently looking at Human Rights, as part of their Unit of Inquiry. The UN Refugee Commission supports the Traces Project – a charity that celebrates the success stories of refugees that found asylum in the UK, and that have since contributed to the country in their art, stories and music.
To support and celebrate this success, they ask everyday people to do one ‘Simple Act’. Mrs Green’s class’s simple act was to use some photographs of everyday objects that people had left behind, lost or found in fleeing to refuge and take some inspiration from it to create a story.
