On Saturday, over 90 staff and students headed to Fleetwood Town Football Club to celebrate the sporting achievements of the past year. The evening began with a fabulous three course dinner.
It was a wonderful evening in which we were joined by guest speaker GB hockey player and Olympic gold medallist, Hollie Pearne-Webb MBE. She gave an inspirational speech on her personal journey, as well as the journey of the GB hockey team, who went on to win Olympic Gold in Rio.
Awards were presented for each sport. There were also awards for Role Model of the Year which went to Will Gair, Rossallian Award for Sport, awarded to Téo Beaumé, Team of the Year went to both Boys and Girls 1st XI Hockey Teams, and Louisa Rogerson and James Amor were Sportswomen and Sportsman of the year.
The evening was rounded off with music and dancing. It was a great evening enjoyed all and it was wonderful to be able to celebrate the success of Rossall Sport.
