Senior School Vacancies

Rossall is a wonderfully enriching Senior School environment. Each phase is carefully structured to nurture independence, social interaction and a healthy and active approach to learning. 

A Sixth Form education at Rossall is designed to stimulate and challenge in equal measure – we want our sixth formers to be intellectually curious, to be able to articulate and defend their opinions. At sixth form level, Rossall offers the traditional A Level route and the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

Music Graduate Assistant

We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Music Graduate Assistant (preferably a vocal specialist) from September 2024. This is an exciting opportunity to join our outstanding Music Department to teach singing lessons to students and contribute to the school’s exceptional music provision. 

Graduate Assistants live on-site in the shared staff accommodation, as this allows them to become fully involved in school life and take every opportunity available during their time at Rossall.

The successful candidate will be an advanced performer with a genuine enthusiasm for working
with young musicians in their role of providing advice, teaching and coaching at a variety of levels.

SENCo

We are now recruiting for a qualified, experienced and inspiring SENCo to join our forward- thinking Learning Development department from January 2025.

Under the Head of Learning Development, the SENCo will have responsibility for the strategic development of the school’s Special Educational Needs (SEN) policy, including oversight of the day-to-day operation of that policy with the aim of raising all students’ attainment and achievement.

The Learning Development department is housed in a bespoke, roomy and well-resourced area. Members of the department work collaboratively to develop resources, share good practice and ensure excellent student progress through careful tracking and monitoring.

Non-Teaching Vacancies

Non-teaching staff make-up 58% of the staff at Rossall School and play a vital role in the School’s success. 

Non-teaching staff provide essential services for the whole school ranging from day to day office support to financial and business management. 

Onsite support staff include caretakers, people responsible for recruitment and marketing, cleaners, caterers, ground staff and many more.

Admissions Officer

We are currently seeking an individual with excellent communication skills to join our expanding Admissions department as Admissions Officer.

The role is an important position within Rossall School and helps guide prospective families from enquiry through to enrolment. The successful candidate should have a keen eye for detail, communicate with empathy, be flexible and possess a growth mindset.

Teaching Assistant

We wish to appoint a caring, dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join the Learning Support team from September 2024.

The successful candidate will understand holistic education and will have the ability to
actively motivate and inspire children to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

A level 3 TA qualification would be desirable, as would an autism specialism.

Summer School Vacancies

Rossall Summer School is an intensive language programme combined with general activities, specialised skills, and cultural experiences. 

The Summer School is designed to appeal to children aged 11-17 from all over the world, running throughout the 8 weeks of the Rossall School summer holidays. We encourage a minimum two-week stay for all pupils.
