European Day of Languages

Last week, Rossall celebrated the European Day of Languages, starting with a whole school assembly. School Governor and Old Rossallian, Gillian Austin-King, gave an inspiring and informative speech on the importance of languages in the world of Business. Thereafter, several Sixth Form language students spoke of their motivation in choosing to study language courses. The assembly was rounded off with a House quiz and a beautiful rendition of Fauré’s Cantique sang in French by the Choir. Other activities on the day included a lovely international lunch, a guided session of German waltz for Year 8 and a game of French pétanque.
