On Tuesday 20th June, Rossall School welcomed 5 local primary schools to their annual Big Sing Festival.
Pupils from Anchorsholme Academy, Kirkland & Catterall St. Helens C of E Primary School, Norbreck Primary Academy, Weeton Primary School, Stanah Community Primary School and Rossall Junior School performed their own pre-prepared songs, as well as coming together for a joint performance of, ‘I Am A Small Part Of The World’.
After a fun filled morning of rehearsals, pupils welcomed family and friends into Rossall’s Chapel for an impressive showcase that included highlights such as ‘The Circle of Life’ from Disney’s The Lion King, and Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’.
Rossall’s Director of Music, Miss Margaret Young, said, “The level of talent displayed by the pupils was extremely high. We were very impressed by their singing ability and enthusiasm for the day. Thank you to all schools for taking part. We hope to see them all again at the Big Sing Festival 2018.”
