Award-winning pianist and Old Rossallian, Hazel Nguyen, performs at Rossall

On Tuesday evening many of us were treated to an exceptional evening of piano music performed by Old Rossallian Hazel Nguyen.

It was 7 years, to the day, since Hazel gave her first ever performance in Big School. Since leaving Rossall Hazel has graduated, with First Class, from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and is already beginning to make her mark in the music world as a concert pianist.

At Brighton Springboard Music Festival, she won the Senior Championship, as well as the Senior Concerto Class and as a result, will be performing as a Principal Soloist with Brighton Youth Orchestra and Worthing Philharmonic Orchestra in future seasons.

Hazel often performs locally, in the North West and Scotland, and we are delighted to welcome her back to Rossall.
