Drama Department Oscars
Last Saturday saw the annual Drama ‘Oscars’ party – an evening of celebration for the Drama Department. The theme this year was ‘Characters from Stage and Screen’ and this enjoyable evening was for all students from Years 7-13 who have been involved both onstage and behind the scenes in this year’s school productions: Mary Poppins: A Play in 48 Hours, Beauty and the Beast, Harry Potter and Tusk, Tusk.
Guests entered The Venue down our red carpet, had their pictures taken by the paparazzi and enjoyed a buffet meal. After the food it was time for the awards ceremony and speeches, hosted by this year’s Drama Captains Noni Purnell and Rebecca Heyes. All the Oscar winners and runners-up can be found here. The evening finished with a disco and a great time was had by all.
