A former sports Scholarship student, Old Rossallian Josie Guthrie now graduates as Pilot Officer in the RAF. Not only a graduate, but Josie also won the PEd cup for outstanding determination and effort in physical trading, and was selected to be the Queens Colour Bearer.
On graduation day, she received the ‘Sword of Honour’ – the Highest award given to the top cadet for outstanding leadership and other qualities.

Her mother said, “It was undoubtedly her schooling and time at Rossall that gave her the grounding and the confidence to do her utmost best. Rossall taught her manners, respect, punctuality, discipline and that hard work is rewarded. Thank you for giving her the very best start. I am sure she will go on to do great things.”

We would like to wish a huge congratulations to Josie for this amazing achievement – we are very proud of her and know she will inspire our current and future students. Floreat Rossallia!
