An Eggcellent Adventure into Parenthood

As part of learning the Attachment topic, where students look into how babies become emotionally secure and how parents bond with them, Ms Allen decided to see if they could take on the responsibility of caring for an egg. Soon there were all kinds of babies in the room, with suitable names including Shelly and Egbert. Some students even decided to have twins!

Needless to say, there were a few accidental omelettes but many of the students kept them carefully and actually reported feeling a real bond with them. They kept notes on the experience and tried to be eggcellent parents.

One student, Fleur Dukker, noted “Even though I only experienced two hours of precious baby José I did become quite attached to him pointing out he was my first child”
